NONRTRIC (@John Keeney (Ericsson EST))

• Still working away on issue from previous weeks:

  •  A1-Controller

    • Finally got several changes merged, and now need to do service releases in ONAP and OSC.

    • Note a major version change of all functions in ccsdk (2.8.x → 3.0.x)

  • Getting started on sample rApps ... starting now

    • First ones will include AIML use cases. See below.

    • Lots to do!

  • Working with AIML team to get platform integrated for QOE E2E demo. See below.

• LF enabled Maven 3.9 in OSC Jenkins - so some housekeeping needed & blocked reviews can now be merged

• Updating Jenkins verify job to run additional functions tests (OSC and ONAP)

• Action: Need to update page about demos/agenda ASAP → Release "K"

SIM (@Alex Stancu)

• Working on Demos for F2F

• Making good progress for Hybrid & Hierarchical OAM & demo at F2f - including interesting issues like VES message translation.

  • Hybrid and Hierarchical OAM Architecture

    • Working with to support multiple O-RUs calling home to O-DU

    • Having O-RU supporting both Hybrid & hierarchical (connecting to O-DU and/or SMO in parallel)

    • Possible issue - where netconf & ves CM-notify messages are sent.

OAM (@Martin Skorupski)

• Working with O-RAN-SC OAM Topology - & overlap with SMO TEIV (see discussion in SMO/Topology sect below)

  • Had a further discussion with @John Keeney (Ericsson EST) & @Tony Finnerty & team ... see SMO→Topology section below

• Working with @Sridhar Rao about OAM SDNC-WEB ODLUX ConfigApp issue - will follow up

• Still working on Yang models

• Working on a issue with Cert Management for OAM

• Continuing some activity on topology - esp O-RAN view etc.

AI/ML platform project (@subhash )

    • Still hitting a few issues, but making progress.

SMO (@Seshu Kumar Mudiganti)

• No specific update

  • Working with @Martin Skorupski to prepare demo videos for F2F

• @Seshu Kumar Mudiganti has a demo with the Tacker team

• Topology & Inventory: (@John Keeney (Ericsson EST) :

  • Met with @Martin Skorupski @Tony Finnerty to further discuss integrating some additional topology information in TEIV & integrating with existing models

    • O-RAN-SC OAM Topology (Not an "O-RAN topology" - used by OAM project for network/deployment generation

    • Alot of extra information that may not be needed for a TEIV view - will examine overlap and/or transformation between models

    • Missing some key concept in current TEIV models, e.g. connections, interfaces, smo entities.

    • Should be possible to have a bridge between these models as an TEIV ingestion option (export profile from @Martin Skorupski's solution?)

      • Investigations continue.

  • Working on a sample rApp to demonstrate TEIV

  • Will be adding new models ASAP - with clear O-RAN aligned RAN model (e.g. remove 4G & integrated gNB)

  • From Last week - Still ongoing

    • Need to start working with others in OSC & beyond to help populate TEIV registry with data from their 'sources of truth'

    • Hope to make alot of use of TEIV in demos/rapps in K-Release

Demo/Discussion - Some issues with deployment/use cases  @Sridhar Rao

• Will have a demo at O-RAN F2F. Will forward slides/video soon.

• Working on some 'user experience' docs, videos etc.

• Some issues:

1. RANPM - image 'kafka-producer-pm-xml2json' image consumes massive resources if left running - even with no load

   • @John Keeney (Ericsson EST) will try reproduce. @Sridhar Rao suggests it may be an issue with Golang Kafka client?

2. ODLUX fails with 500 code

   • Maybe something to see in browser logs? Each change results in possibly multiple calls - which is failing

3. OAI: 3GPP spec for faults change in Rel18 ?

   • VES collector cannot do std-defined schema check TS28532_FaultMnS.yaml filename has changed.

     • VES Collector config change needed with multiple/diff versions in 'DMaaP' configuration

     • @Martin Skorupski will try track down a script solution to semi-automate this config.

   • Requires a change in OAI generating the alarm?

4. RANPM Datafile Collector. Some tests are failing. @Sridhar Rao will update with a change upstream

5. RANPM PM Logger/Influx Logger  After some time sometime fails to get a token - then fails after that.

   1. Hard to reproduce. @Sridhar Rao will keep trying

6. Would like to have some visualisation of RANPM, etc. And maybe something like Kibana for logs etc.

   1. @Martin Skorupski See https://gerrit.o-ran-sc.org/r/c/oam/+/13465 for an example of a grafana deployment.

   2. @John Keeney (Ericsson EST) NONRTRIC messed about with grafana before, but for visualizing metrics/traces not RANPM. Release H: Kafka Metrics 

7. Unclear where to find SIM images (DU esp) built from 3GPP model. Seem to refer to a local build?

   • Needs to be built on the fly, because we cannot redistribute 3GPP files/artifacts.
