  • Running out of time ....  unlikely to make the release vote planned for this week TOC call:

    • A1 compatibility between A1-PMS and near-RT-RIC A1 Mediator

    • Service Manager - first version

• Continue work on rApp Manager - as a focal point for tying together alot of other existing activities

  • Working on some sample rApps. e.g. See Release J: Simple rApp using Hello World Microservice

• Continue work on Service Manager - again pulling together alot of work on Service Exposure in previous releases

• Continue maturing the A1-Policy Controller function (ref ONAP) - including a potential new NBI (v3) to achieve R1 alignment

  • Current API will be maintained but deprecated for several releases to come.

• Will need to de-prioritise many of the older less-used NONRTRIC functions - we welcome others in the community to help take these on if interested.

  • Need to study how/if we can achieve R1-DME alignment. Specs continue to diverge from our implementation - with alot of effort need to align.  We welcome contributors to help here.

• Working through reviews for changes to it/dep charts. Main focus on A1-PMS configuration functionality & state. Still verifying

• Working with Viavi to access dataset.

  • Procedure currently being defined. Wiki page & email to Ultan to get password.

• Issue with OAuth (ONAP London ++) - working on this

  • Making some progress - possible solution. Needs a bit more work & testing.

• Update to Oct 2023 O1 specs & study existing versions.

  • Working through issue with yang specs from Wg10, WG4, WG5

  • References & Some issues identified: See O-RAN YANG published in 2023-10

• WG9 support

  • Trying to align ONF/IETF/IEEE models

• Discussing with SMO / @Seshu Kumar Mudiganti about Nephio/OAI/OSC integration for OAM set up etc.

• Gathering info about O-RAN spec mapping/alignment/compliance

• Calling for OSC demos 2024-02 O-RAN F2F Athens

  • AI/ML demo preparation/planning - but not confirmed yet on table?

• Developed a fix for DMaaP adapter stopping & not re-trying. Will propose change to community.

• What is the role of the external auth callout (e.g. to OPA) from inside the service - why not just use Istio Policies (including perhaps callout to OPA)?

  • @John Keeney (Ericsson EST) These callouts are optional - if external call-out endpoint is statically configured.

      • (Efficient if endpoint is deployed close to ICS, e.g. a sidecar)

    • Allows more fine grained access control (e.g. ABAC/TBAC or checks where app state is needed) which Istio Policies will struggle with,

    • What is the purpose of jobgroup in code?
