    • Release J planning kicking off

    • Call for attendees & suggestions for O-RAN Athens F2F

    • Need to discuss how to report on project/usecase to TOC for J-Release. TBC.

    • OSFG/OSC discussions continue. No update on SCCL yet.

NONRTRIC (@John Keeney (Ericsson EST))

• Initial proposals for J Release are ongoing:

  • Tentative headline goals:

    • Continue work on rApp Manager - as a focal point for tying together alot of other existing activities

      • Working on some sample rApps. e.g. See Release J: Simple rApp using Hello World Microservice

    • Continue work on Service Manager - again pulling together alot of work on Service Exposure in previous releases

      • may be able to get an early alpha version released at I Maintenance Release time.

    • Continue maturing the A1-Policy Controller function (ref ONAP) - including a potential new NBI (v3) to achieve R1 alignment

    • May need to de-prioritise some of the older less-used NONRTRIC functions - we welcome others in the community to help take these on if interested.

    • Need to study how/if we can achieve R1-DME alignment. Specs continue to diverge from our implementation - with alot of effort need to align.  We welcome contributors to help here.

• Maintenance I-Release

  • Still have an issue with A1 compatibility between A1-PMS and near-RT-RIC A1 Mediator. Hoping to make progress & fix together with A1-Mediator team for Maintenance Release.

Alignment Nephio/OAI/OSC (@Seshu Kumar Mudiganti)

  • Ref: Nephio, Sig Automation, Wg2 Use cases, O-RAN

• OAI-function RAN (DU, CU) Orchestration in Nephio

  • Plan for Helm-based (current) and KPT-based (future)

    • Nephio KPT-based will require R2 packages deployed from FOCOM.

  • Will start work in OSC (helm), and port/upstream to Nephio (KPT)

  • Start with deployment, then deletion as stretch goal.

• Maybe later look at OSC SIM Simulator (helm charts) - but want to co-work with Nephio - and OSC SIM is not a focus in Nephio currently.

  • Similar for Near-RT-RIC helm charts.

• Lots of work needed: NFO; reuse/dev of DMS; overlapping work in ONAP (SO, CNFM) and OSC (INF, RIC, INT, OAM)

• Lots of work to do finding/configuring labs to test/validate. Will start with single cluster, then at least 2.

• Hope eventually to see e2e connectivity with OAI soft-UE and Core.

• Inventory and SO are out of scope.

• Further discussion st next SMO and Nephio calls
