  • CPS project making progress on how to use the CPS codebase to test/understand the models & what happens if they are changed/cut-down/experimented-with etc, and sample data added etc.

  • Excellent session to make people aware / motivated about overlaps, with concrete opportunity for better alignment & engagement.

• Lots of hard work to do. We will try to identify concrete follow ups. Maybe best to wait a little to see outcome of OSC SMO PTL election.

• High priority newer areas seem to be O2, AI-ML, rApps. Ref slides above.

Questions / Comments / AOB:

• Reminder: Using copyrighted models @N.K. Shankaranarayanan @Martin Skorupski 

  • Cannot redistribute copyrighted material, e.g from 3GPP, O-RAN Alliance

  • Try to have opensource code model driven, and if models are needed they can be downloaded and built at build/run time - but not redistributed

    • Similar for anything derived substantially from copyrighted material

  • We can use terms, small samples etc in documentation & code, but not chunks of copyrighted material.

  • Ref discussion & material at ONAP TSC 2022-09-08 meeting.

  • This issue mostly arises for use cases since many SMO/SIM platform functions are model driven.
