• OSC NONRTRIC: Release J

• Last week, announced a first version of our Service Manager function 📢🎉

  • Still working on deployment, tests & integration

  • Lots still to do!

• Continue work on rApp Manager - as a focal point for tying together alot of other existing activities

  • Working on some sample rApps. e.g. See Release J: Simple rApp using Hello World Microservice

  • Aim to have an updated version in coming weeks

  • Working on SME & DME integration & improvements

• Continue maturing the A1-Policy Controller function (ref ONAP) - including a potential new NBI (v3) to achieve R1 alignment

  • Current API will be maintained but deprecated for several releases to come.

  • New API development ongoing. May be some questions for R1-A1-P spec in March train ... TBC

• Still need to get working on a proper A1-Policy Integration test with OSC near-RT-RIC (A1 Mediator)

• Otherwise Continuing tasks as mentioned previous weeks.

  • Will need to de-prioritise many of the older less-used NONRTRIC functions - we welcome others in the community to help take these on if interested.

    • Need to study how/if we can achieve R1-DME alignment. Specs continue to diverge from our implementation - with alot of effort need to align.  We welcome contributors to help here.

  • Working through reviews for changes to it/dep charts. Main focus on A1-PMS configuration functionality & state.

    • Latest updates merged (Release I). Still verifying. Good progress

SIM (@Alex Stancu)

• No major change since last week.

• Improvements to O1 Simulator infrastructure ongoing

• So update on O2 ... maybe next release?

OAM (@Martin Skorupski)

• Fixing OAuth issue with SDNC ONAP Montreal initially. May backport to London.

  • Solution ongoing

• Updateing to ODL Potassium

• Still working with Wg9 & supporting models

• Contributing to OAM architecture & align with security work

  • Working with Wg4 & Wg5 Yang models - but moving to WG10 ... so a little unclear.

  • Working through some confusion in OAM architecture. Seeking feedback from Wg10 team. Security (WG11) overlap with Wg10

• @John Keeney (Ericsson EST) Still have work to do demonstrating rApps - See Release J: Simple rApps using Hello World Microservice for samples to hopefully help rApp authors get started

  • Note: rApp package is not spec aligned yet - currently just an internal/interim App model.

  • Still using ACM? - Yes.

• Many SMOSs are still unavailable, and even undecided, e.g. Intent Management, O2, Service orchestration etc.

  • But some are pretty well understood and (at least) partially implemented. (e.g. O1-CM, O1-PM, A1, R1-SME, (R1-)DME, rApp Management, AIMLFW APIs etc)
