  • Good progress made on O1-PM - convert to file format & reuse existing RANPM functions → rApp

    • Note: RANPM snapshot images have timed out. !

      • Make sure release happens before 30 days & update charts in it/dep

  • O1-CM: 

    • When integrated SMO deployment is ready rApp should be able to use NCMP as a wrapper for RestConf → SDNC/ODL

    • Exposed via SME to rApp

  • Topology:
    
    

    • @Martin Skorupski will create a topology/deployment model - which can then be processed by TEIV to bootstrap the TEIV topology.
      
      

      • Will help pre-populate the topology & add links etc - where adapters do not yet exist.

    • Also TEIV adapter nearly complete; to poll NCMP/SDNC to populate TEIV-OAM data of ODUs/OCU/ODUCell/OCUCell

      • Available for rApp to query which DU/Cells to target for Energy saving rather than hard coding

    • TEIV can then be queried by ESrApp to get IDs etc & containment info needed - rather than hardcoding in rApp logic

  • AIML

    • @John Keeney (Ericsson EST) & @subhash to discuss: 

      • How & when training happens, & where trained model is stored

      • How AIMLFW is deployed as part of SMO

      • How rApps ML model is deployed as an Inference service for rApp to use (KServe)

    • @bimo fransiscus asisi to advise on where the current Apps are - to help identify how to extend for deployment. 

  • VES collector in SMO

    • Can change configuration in integrated SMO (via configmaps - TBC), but need to download & make 3GPP schema files available somehow.
      
      

      • May need to add a custom step to pull these files during SMO setup. (Similar for other functions where spec downloads might be required before use)

  • Will discuss more with @fransiscus bimo during RSAC

    • Combined lots of existing charts - now working together (ONAP, NONRTRIC, RANPM, TEIV) 

      • Alot of work needed to have all previous deployments using same underlying common functions - esp Kafka.

      • Eventually services may be discoverable / exposed outside cluster - e.g. ref CAMARA etc.

  • Lots of small updates in K-Release & ongoing. Focus on ingestion adapters in this release.

  • Existing / old rApps (e.g. nonrtric/rapp/orufhrecovery & nonrtric/rapp/ransliceassurance)

    • Very old & cannot be used with current rApp Manager. e.g. - wrong format, no DME/SME supports, no LCM

    • Difficult, but possible, to upgrade to newer rApp format. may need to be deprecated & archived otherwise.

      • Sridhar: Might be able to find some help for that

      • Note: Current rApp package is not spec compliant  - it is an internal format only (post onboarding) We eagerly await a standardised rApp format from O-RAN. 

• Difficult to inject data into RANPM pipeline to have it appear in InfluxDB

• @John Keeney (Ericsson EST) Avoid trying to use internal interfaces/formats/topics in the RANPM flow
  
  

  • Use 3GPP XML files, hosted in some FTP/HTTP server (HTTP server provided), then send a VES event to VES collector (with the path/filename to the new file)

    • Toolchain does all necessary XML→JSON translation, filtering etc, then inject into InfluxDB)

  • latest snapshot version of RANPM functions support 3GPP file-ready event format & latest NR PM data files. Older (Release K) versions only support older VES-format file-ready events & older 4G PM data file.
