AOB:

  • "5G RAN Slice PRB Prediction rApp" Presentation & demo from from Sunil N 

    • Slides:

    • Focus on optimised allocation of PRBs to different slices

    • Based on NSSI performance reports from RAN NSSMF (15min) 

      • Uses 1 week windows (80% for training, 20% for model testing
      • Tried several model types. Settled on LSTM. 
      • Used to predict DL PRB usage per NSSI (15 min) 

    • Current PRB prediction rApp policy - modify PRB allocations if ( predicted usage < current ) or ( predicted usage > current  * 120% )

      • When triggered queries past 1 week data from InfluxDB & predicts 
      • Updates sent direct to NSSMF API 
    • Currently performance data is written direct into InfluxDB, then publishes triggered by NSSMF notification

    • Uses simulated NSSMF (3gpp 28.532 interfaces & notifications) as rApp

    • Plan to move prediction service from inside rApp uService to AIMLFW platform 
    • Plan to extend to Uplink too. 
    • Next step: 
      • Create new wiki page for use case (landing page) in Integration wiki space 
      • Upload code, data, etc - initially in NONRTRIC rAppManager repo, but can re-file later
         

  • Github Actions / Workflows Migration (Matt Watkins, John Keeney (Ericsson EST), Martin Skorupski):

    • Matt & Ravi have solved issue for OAM GHA for container upload to nexus 

    • Still working on uploading / releasing it/dep helm charts/scripts for SMO Install  

  • CVEs:

    • Intern now working on CVE checking (now) & fixing (soon). (Sridhar Rao) 
    • More tool support needed for conditional checking etc. 
    • Updates still in progress - more details soon hopefully
      • Some updates can be suggested for OSC dockerfiles based on recent work from interns.

      • Suggestion: updates can be contributed as gerrit reviews for review. 
        • Suggest that some effort is made to test the updates - simply building the image is unlikely to be sufficient. Some indication of tests performed or verification would be helpful/needed, especially for repos not frequently/recently updated.   

  • Winlab servers (OSC Test lab) (Martin Skorupski, Ivan Seskar)

    • No update. All good for now
