Currently have 2 deployments - one with ES rApp, and one with OAI standup. Need to try consolidate for the demo.

Targeting the Energy Saving using Viavi Simulator.
Use the latest version!
Not sure what the O1-PM support is for the Viavi simulator. Needs to be confirmed before attempting to configure PM collection.

This is an updated version of https://github.com/bmw-ece-ntust/nonrtric-rapp-energysaving that runs well on OSC SMO/NONRTRIC install.
Energy Saving Usecase:

Still not clear how to detect no-UE or no-Load in the cell/O-RU
Currently O1 Adapter has just a few metrics
Perhaps UL/DL traffic?
File-based updates only every 15 minutes
Might be able to reduce this? Or fake it?
e.g. trigger a new collection, or send a message that looks like collected data PM data?
Would be much easier to use the O1-PM → rApp toolchain if we could get this working.
Could consider a custom VES message? (via DMaaPAdapter to rApp?)
Action: Enable Power Saving feature directly in O-RU (OFHM-CM) via SDNC. Can hardcode this RESTCONF call into rApp?
Essentially puts O-RU to sleep mode.
When to re-enable the O-RU.
Easiest suggestion is after a timeout.
Existing rApp uses an ML model to predict load, but we don't have training data for that, or an existing model for this use case.
Initially no ML in rApp it seems.
Will need a new rApp anyway, e.g. to code in the O-RU location/action.
Already exists a Dashboard that show Energy usage of the O-RU in the lab - so will be nice to visualize the Energy saving.
Trying to get constituent parts up & running - then will keep working on integration for the use case. Especially the monitoring to trigger the action. Then the rApp.
